According to the venue schedule and notification email sent out from ORDA, the Olympic Oval is closed for the season.

Oval is closed due to warm temperatures, ice was really soft and slushy. Hoping for the weekend depending on weather conditions and if the ice can be salvaged!
Rating of 10 am – 12 pm session from 1 – 10 with 10 being the best: 6
4 pm – 6 pm: Same
Ice had decent glide but was soft and had several rough spots and gouges (especially on corners).

Ice was a bit soft, but good glide. A small “dip” on the corner by Legends of the Oval.

Ice was fairly smooth but softer than yesterday so reduced glide. Still a lovely day to skate!

Ice was slow and had light snow covering but not too bad. Not much glide but ice was intact (no bumps or rough spots from what I could see).
This weekend was the last Lake Placid Speed Skating Club meet of the season, the Lake Placid Marathon Finale. Here’s a glimpse of the 42K race:
